Room Description

Bear Cabin – two bedroom

Sleeping Breakdown:

The Bear Cabin offers two bedrooms. This unit features a queen bed and a set of bunk beds in one bedroom and a double bed and set of bunk beds in the second bedroom. This cabin sleeps up to 8.

Interior Amenities:

All of our units are complete with TV and Direct TV satellite programming. Each kitchen includes microwave, coffee maker, toaster, all dishes, pots & pans and utensils.  As a result, most guests find what they need, but don’t be afraid to ask if you can’t find something!!  Bedding is provided, but you supply your own towels.

Exterior Amenities:

All cabins have a patio door with deck on lakeside.  We get many compliments about how each cabin is located close to the lake without any steep hills.  All Cabins have Western views that offer spectacular sunsets.  Utilize your personal Weber grill,  picnic table, and fire pit while taking in scenic views from our beautiful lake!  Firewood is provided.

Resort Location Amenities:

We are conveniently located on Thousand Island Lake on our own private bay.  Thousand Island Lake Road serves as a snowmobile trail with access to major trail systems in Michigan and Wisconsin.  Snowmobilers will appreciate trailer parking on site, a heated garage for working on sleds and fuel on site for our guests.

During the summer Thousand Island Lake Road serves as a bike trail…part of the Wilderness Lakes Trails system.  We are the closest resort to Sylvania Wilderness offering over 18,000 acres of protected forest land that remains undeveloped.  The Sylvania Wilderness Entrance station is just 3 miles from our resort.

The public boat launch is 1/2 mile from us on Thousand Island Lake Road.  Boaters will appreciate the double sided launch which is generous for truck/trailer turnarounds.  Anglers will find walleye, northern, musky, perch, crappie, bluegill, small mouth and large mouth bass on our lakes.  Ice fishing is also available during the winter.   There is fuel on site for our guests.

We are a dog friendly resort (additional fees apply).

Finally, check out our blog to see what other guests have been saying about their experience at Wilderness Bay Lodge and Resort!
