The Famous Cisco Chain of Lakes
Visitors will enjoy their vacation on the famous Cisco Chain of fifteen lakes with over 271 miles of scenic shoreline. Nestled in our colorful bay on Thousand Island Lake, Wilderness Bay Resort is on one of the largest chain of lakes in the world. In fact, the state record silver musky was caught just beyond our dock! Two undeveloped lakes on the chain remind us of days past when solitude prevailed.
Excellent fishing for walleye, musky, northern pike, bass and pan-fish provides long days of enjoyment. A day boating on the Cisco Chain can take you to both Michigan and Wisconsin.
Side trips to the Porcupine Mountains and Lake of the Clouds, Bond and Agate Falls, six major ski hills, Lac Vieux Desert Casino and many other attractions are within an hour’s drive away.

About the owners
Laura and Dan Hance, along with their daughter Juls, moved to the Northwoods to pursue their dream in 2016. "Our love for people, the Northwoods, and excellent customer service, drives our passion to make Wilderness Bay the place you come year after year. We live on site to provide a vacation where you and your family and friends can sit back, relax and make memories to last a lifetime."Melissa and Bob McGuffin joined the Wilderness Bay family as partners in January of 2020. They are ten year residents of the U.P., but have been vacationing in the Northwoods for decades prior. "We are excited to share our passion of the Northwoods. We hope to inspire the next generation of families to experience the up-North lifestyle."

Epic place for a vacation. Gorgeous, clean, pristine and relaxing. Big thanks to Josh Flesch for recommending! My new choice for a northern escape.
